Nothing shouts proudly South African like a good traditional braai and our braai marinade is sure to tantalize those taste buds. It is a great all-rounder for chicken, ribs, lamb or steak! The recipe makes 1 cup (enough for 4 portions), so feel free to double, triple or quadrupedal it – depending on the size of family & friends who will be joining. The more the merrier!
1 cup All Gold Tomato Sauce
50ml Worcestershire Sauce
50ml Mrs Balls Original Chutney
1 tsp Aromat
1 tsp Vinegar (white or brown)
1 can Stoney Ginger Beer
Salt and pepper to taste
** Add 2 sprigs of thyme or rosemary to the ingredients as well.
** Replace the Stoney Ginger beer depending on taste:
Fanta Orange for chicken | Coke if you are looking for a sweeter taste | Dry Lemon for pork chops.
Just whisk all ingredients together and marinade your meat for 3-4 hrs before you braai.
